Entrepreneur and Executive Director in Montenegro in 2026
Foreign entrepreneurs and executive directors who are sole owners or own more than 51% of a Montenegrin company use the employment residence/work framework with special evidence rules.
For these applicants, the ordinary written job offer and qualification evidence are not required in the same way; ownership and business registration evidence is required.
For extension, the current consolidated 2026 law requires proof of fulfilled tax and social-contribution obligations of at least EUR 5,000 per year. Earlier proposals referring to a three-employee rule should not be presented as the enacted current condition.
