DN2 commercial visa in Viet Nam in 2026
The DN2 symbol covers foreigners entering to offer services, establish a commercial presence, or carry out other activities under international treaties to which Viet Nam is a party. Its statutory maximum visa validity is one year.
DN2 is not a catch-all business visa
The code is tied to the legal activities described in the immigration law. It should not be marketed as a generic freelancer, entrepreneur or remote-work visa.
Labour permission remains separate
If the person's actual activities constitute work in Viet Nam, the foreign-worker rules under Decree 219/2025/NĐ-CP may still require a work permit or exemption confirmation.
No automatic residence card
DN2 is not one of the visa symbols identified by current law as a temporary-residence-card basis.
