Viet Nam VR family-visit visa in 2026
The VR visa is for a person entering to visit relatives or for another qualifying visit purpose. Current law caps VR visa validity at 180 days.
VR versus TT
VR is a visit category; TT is the specific family visa/residence category for qualifying relatives. They are not interchangeable.
No automatic residence-card status
VR is not listed among the current temporary-residence-card symbols. If the family relationship supports TT, UĐ2 or the narrow permanent-residence family route, those are separate applications.
A family-visit visa also does not itself authorize local employment.
