IT Visa for Specialists in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan's IT Visa was operational before January 2025 as a special multiple-entry category for qualifying foreign IT professionals.
January 2025 snapshot
The pre-2025 IT Visa rules provided a visa valid for up to three years, extendable without leaving Uzbekistan. The IT specialist eligibility framework required an IT professional to document relevant qualifications and, under the official program rules, at least USD 30,000 of IT-related annual income over the preceding 12 months.
For nationals of countries with visa-free access, the IT Park recommendation/IT Card framework functioned as the equivalent status mechanism rather than requiring a visa label.
Not a general digital-nomad visa
This route is tied to the official IT Visa eligibility framework. It should not be marketed as an open remote-work or freelancer visa for anyone who works online. Ordinary foreign employees should review the employment work visa.
