Investor Residence Permit in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan's investment framework provides a simplified long-term residence-permit route for a defined class of high-value foreign investors.
January 2025 threshold
The official presidential program materials in force before January 2025 state that a foreign citizen who invested at least USD 3 million to establish enterprises producing goods or providing services in Uzbekistan could receive a residence permit for 10 years under a simplified procedure. The framework also covers qualifying founders or participants of enterprises with foreign investment and specified family members under the implementing rules.
Residence permit, not citizenship by investment
This is a residence status. The official sources reviewed do not establish automatic citizenship by investment. Investment ownership alone should not be described as citizenship or guaranteed permanent status outside the statutory criteria.
