Employment Work Visa in Uzbekistan
Foreign nationals taking ordinary local employment in Uzbekistan use the work-entry visa / work-activity confirmation framework rather than a generic residence visa for employees.
Work-activity confirmation
The official public-service portal requires documents such as the foreign national's passport, a draft employment agreement stating the proposed employment terms and remuneration, qualification evidence, a photograph, and an eligible entry-visa copy where a visa regime applies.
The competent authority assesses the proposed engagement, including the availability of local labor for the vacancy. The work confirmation is therefore a substantive authorization step, not merely a registration formality.
Visa and work authorization are linked but distinct
The MFA's visa list includes the work-entry category based on the right to work granted by the competent labor authority. A business or visitor status should not be presented as a substitute for employment authorization.
