Dominican Republic investor permanent residence

DGM publishes a Permanent Residence for Investors category for qualifying foreign investors whose purpose is to make economic investments in the Dominican Republic.

Investment threshold

The official DGM page states a minimum investment of US$200,000 and requires certification of the foreign investment by the relevant Dominican investment authority.

Direct permanent-residence category

Unlike the ordinary temporary-residence progression route, this service is explicitly described by DGM as permanent residence for investors.

Core evidence

The checklist includes a passport, Residence Visa (RS), incorporation letter for the foreign-investment programme, certified evidence of investment, civil-status and criminal-record documents, a guarantee policy and medical examinations. DGM also requests company constitutional documents where applicable.

Founders and entrepreneurs

This route can be relevant to some founders or business owners, but forming a company alone does not establish eligibility. The qualifying investment and certification requirements must be satisfied.
