Dominican Republic dependant residence (RT-7)
The RT-7 is a one-year dependant residence category for qualifying dependants of holders of RT-3 Temporary Labor Residence and RT-4 Religious Temporary Residence.
Relationship evidence
The DGM checklist requires evidence of the principal resident's status plus relevant marriage or birth records, depending on the family relationship.
Immigration documents
The published requirements include the appropriate dependant visa, passport, proof of the latest entry, photographs, criminal-record evidence where applicable and a guarantee policy.
Scope of the category
RT-7 should not be described as a universal family-reunification route. Its official service description specifically links it to dependants of RT-3 and RT-4 residents. Other family situations can fall under different residence rules.
Work rights
The RT-7 service is a residence category. Applicants should not assume it independently grants unrestricted local work rights without checking the rules that apply to the dependant's intended activity.
See the Dominican Republic hub, RT-3 labor residence, Caribbean region, work visas, methodology, and legal disclaimer.
