Golden Paradise Residence Visa in Sri Lanka in 2026

The Golden Paradise Residence Visa is a separate long-term investor program administered by Sri Lanka's Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Official program structure

The Immigration e-services page describes a 10-year residence visa for investors and family members. The public landing page states a Golden Paradise Foreign Currency Account and a minimum USD 200,000 deposit, while a later Department circular published through the same official e-services system refers to USD 100,000. Because those official materials conflict on the current deposit figure, applicants should obtain written confirmation from the Department before transferring funds.

What the program permits

The official landing page describes investment, residence and study benefits and identifies government-approved investment, condominium purchase, leasehold interests and Sri Lanka Development Bonds among the possible uses subject to applicable law.

Do not merge it with other investor routes

Golden Paradise is not the same product as the newer Investor Visa, which publishes five- and ten-year thresholds. Neither should be described as automatic permanent residence or citizenship by investment.
