Premium Visa in Mauritius in 2026
The Mauritius Premium Visa is a long-stay visa aimed at foreign nationals who want to spend an extended period in Mauritius as visitors, retirees or professionals working remotely.
Duration and remote work
The Passport and Immigration Office states that the Premium Visa is valid for one year and renewable.
The route can support remote work or foreign business activity carried out from Mauritius. It should not be presented as permission to take ordinary local Mauritian employment.
Switching routes
Official EDB guidance states that a Premium Visa holder who intends to work or invest in Mauritius may apply for an Occupation Permit, while a qualifying retiree may apply for the relevant Residence Permit.
