Denmark remote work and "digital nomad visa" options in 2026
Denmark does not publish a dedicated national digital-nomad residence scheme.
A third-country national generally needs a work permit to perform work in Denmark unless a specific exemption or existing permit applies.
A short-stay business visa normally does not authorize ordinary work. Being paid by a foreign employer does not automatically remove the Danish work-permit issue when services are performed in Denmark.
Tax residence, payroll, social security and immigration permission are separate questions.
