Top Talent Pass Scheme in Hong Kong in 2026

The Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) is designed for high-income applicants and graduates of eligible universities who want to explore opportunities in Hong Kong. A job offer is not required when the initial application is made.

Three application categories

Category A currently requires annual income of at least HK$2.5 million in the year immediately before application.

Category B is for degree graduates of eligible universities who have at least three years of work experience during the five years immediately before application.

Category C is for degree graduates of eligible universities in the previous five years who have less than three years of work experience. It is subject to a current annual quota of 10,000 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Initial stay

Successful Category A entrants are normally granted 36 months initially. Categories B and C are normally granted 24 months. TTPS entrants are not tied to one employer in the same way as a GEP approval.

Extension is not automatic; applicants must meet the prevailing extension conditions and demonstrate genuine Hong Kong employment or business activity where required.
