Dominica Work in Nature digital nomad visa
Dominica's Work in Nature (WIN) Extended Stay Visa is the country's dedicated route for remote workers, digital nomads and eligible accompanying family members.
Core eligibility
The official programme says the main applicant must be at least 18, be of good character without a criminal record, be able to work remotely, be able and willing to make the required financial contribution, and expect to earn at least US$50,000 over the next 12 months and/or have the means to support the accompanying household.
A spouse or partner, children or stepchildren under 18, and certain wholly dependent relatives may be included.
Work rights and validity
The WIN Visa Stamp is issued on arrival and is valid for up to 18 months. It allows work that can be performed remotely, but only for companies and individuals not registered in Dominica. Someone taking local employment should instead assess the work-permit route.
Application evidence
The government application process requires an online application plus supporting evidence that can include passport biodata, relationship documents for dependants, police records, a bank reference, employment or income evidence, passport photos, any required entry visa, and health insurance valid in Dominica.
Government fees
The published government fees are a US$100 non-refundable application fee, followed after approval by a US$800 individual visa fee or US$1,200 family visa fee. A separate group structure is published for businesses applying for multiple remote employees.
Tax positioning
The WIN programme states that a waiver from Dominica income tax is granted for people working remotely under the visa, while holders remain responsible for their normal tax domicile obligations. Tax residence can be fact-specific, so the programme statement should not be treated as individualized tax advice.
