Atlantic Immigration Program in 2026
The Atlantic Immigration Program is open and offers permanent residence to skilled foreign workers and qualifying international graduates who want to live in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador.
A qualifying job offer must come from an employer designated for AIP by the relevant Atlantic province.
Applicants generally need qualifying work experience, although certain recent Atlantic graduates are exempt. Education, language, settlement funds where required and a settlement plan also matter. Provincial endorsement and the federal PR application are separate stages.
Some endorsed candidates may qualify for an optional employer-specific temporary work permit while PR is processed.
