Curaçao Wealthy Investor 2014 residence permit — January 2025 snapshot

Curaçao's Minister of Justice introduced the Wealthy Investor 2014 policy for bona fide wealthy investors whose admission and investment are of essential importance to Curaçao.

Qualifying investment

The official immigration page states that the applicant must demonstrate a qualifying investment and sufficient independent means to meet obligations arising from that investment.

For the January-2025 framework, the official page links permit duration to investment value: at least ANG 500,000 for a three-year permit, ANG 750,000 for five years, and ANG 1,500,000 for indefinite residence.

Economic-purpose test

The investment is expected to contribute through factors such as additional employment, foreign-currency inflow or economic development. The 2014 guidelines expressly contemplate qualifying real-property or business investment. This makes the route different from a passive asset-only residence label.

Not citizenship by investment

The reviewed official source describes residence permission, not direct citizenship by investment. Do not treat the route as a passport program.
